Just imagine the softest Paj silk fabric and Australian Merino wool combined all hand dyed and wet felted together in this simple but elegant hand made Nuno felted scarf. When I made these Nuno felted art scarves, I first stitched around the edge of the silk fabric with silk thread, then I hand dyed the scarf and after it was dry, I nuno felted the superfine 18.5 micron Australian Merino wool into it.
These little ones are great to grab and toss around your neck under a jacket or coat and take up no space if you get too warm and need to take it off.
- Approximate only.
- Length 150 cm form tip to tip of scarf
- Width is approx 20 cm average.
I usually wrap these light weight scarves around my neck twice, I am about a size 10/12. Then I will either gently tie the fringe in a knot or pin a brooch to hold it in place. I have taken a pic of the scarf with a brooch so you can see how I usually wear it.
When I am working I will wrap my scarf so the fringe is hanging down at the back. This way it keeps you warm but doesn't hang in the way of anything.
Gently hand wash in an approved wool and silk wash. roll in a towel and gently spin the water out. Carefully press the scarf on the back with a cool iron and hang to finish drying.
This listing is for the scarf only and no other items in the images.
