This one has a lovely little folded ruffle around the edge and a wool felted spiral pattern meandering down the centre of the scarf.
When I made these Nuno felt art scarves, I first nuno felted it and then hand dyed the scarf after it was completed.
Margilan silk is hand made and comes from Uzbekistan, It is a delicate fibre and will need gentle handling. If you like you scarves sturdy this one might no take you everyday wear and tear like my other nuno scarves will
Length is a generous 158 cm down the length of the scarf
Width across is approx 30 cm average.
I usually wrap these light weight scarves around my neck twice, I am about a size 10/12. Then I will either gently tie the ends into a knot or pin a brooch to hold it in place.
When I am working or spinning I will wrap my scarf so the fringe is hanging down at the back. This way it keeps you warm but doesn't hang in the way of anything.
Gently hand wash in an approved wool and silk wash. roll in a towel and gently spin the water out. Carefully press the scarf on the back with a cool iron and hang to finish drying.
