4 ply Supreme Sock Yarn Hand Dyed Soot 12751

Soot is hand dyed a semi solid dark charcoal black with some variations in shade.

This is the supreme end of the sock yarn spectrum. With 85% Australian 19.5 micron super wash merino wool combined with 15% nylon this is just beautiful bouncy and next to skin soft.

Although a lot of knitters crochets’ don’t knit it into sock because it will happily knit into beautiful scarves, squishy beanies and adorable children’s clothes or any number of beautiful projects. 

Being super wash it can be gently washed in the washing machine but most people will hand wash it with an approved wool wash separately at first.

The fine Australian merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durability.

The main factor determining the quality of Australian merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres. The use of fine merino (19.5 microns) which is some of the finest commercially available results in a super soft yarn that feels gentle against the skin.

Please cool hand wash separately with an approved wool wash.

This is super wash yarn and can be gently washed in the washing machine but most people will hand wash this yarn.

All of my yarns are hand dyed by me using Australian made dyes.
