Hand Dyed Mulberry Silk Fibre Throwsters Waste.
This recycled silk has been de gummed and looks a lot like a mass of thick threads. It is a by product of the silk industry and is a good source of silk fibre for effect and detailing.
Throwsters Waste is a by product of the silk cocoon reeling and spinning process - it is a wonderful textured mass of short and long fibres, both thick and thin! ... It can also be used in needle felting, nuno felting, again for added texture, and to make silk paper or layering with mixed media layering.
Suited to spinning, art batts, textiles, paper making, wet felting, needle felting, mixed media fibre arts and other crafty ideas.
