4 ply Supreme Sock Yarn Hand Dyed in Chestnut

Chestnut is a deep combination with layers of greens, rust and browns all meandering along the hanks creating this sophisticated colourway.

This colour works well with colours like Lichen Leaves and strong chocolate browns.

Yarn Base Details

• 85% Super-wash Australian Merino 19.5 micron + 15% Nylon Yarn
• Approx. 400 meters per 100 g hank/skein
• Hand dyed with Australian made dyes
• Super-wash Merino
• Machine washable.

The fine Australian merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durability.

The main factor determining the quality of Australian merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres. The use of fine merino (19.5 microns) which is some of the finest commercially available results in a super soft yarn that feels gentle against the skin. 

This yarn is so versatile and can be used for any next to skin project (scarves, jumpers etc) as well as items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves. 

Being super wash it can be gently washed in the washing machine but most people will hand wash it with an approved wool wash separately at first.
