Unique and hand-crafted this beautiful art scarf keeps the cold at bay and adds beautiful interest into an outfit. Wet felted and hand dyed this is an original piece of art to wear.
Just imagine the softest Paj silk fabric and Australian Merino wool combined all hand dyed and wet felted together in this simple but elegant hand made Nuno felted scarf. When I made these beautiful and warm silk Nuno felted art scarves, I felted the edges and details with my undyed Tasmanian Merino wool. I then proceeded to hand dyed each of them after they had been felted in a rainbow of Raspberry, Teal Blue Green and a little Olive to mix things up a bit.
The result is beautiful, light and so very warm! This is more of a wrap size but it can scrunch down into a lovely flat scarf worn around you neck without the bulk. The Paj silk which I have used is an amazing fabric and very soft and light to wear.
Length 148 cm form tip to tip of scarf
Width is approx 36 cm average.
I usually wrap these light weight scarves around my neck twice, I am about a size 12. Then I will either gently it in a knot or pin a brooch to hold it in place. I have taken a few different pics of way to wear this versatile scarf. Brooches and pins are also a great way to finish you look and hold a scarf in place.
When I am working I will wrap my scarf so the ends are hanging down at the back. This way it keeps you warm but doesn't hang in the way of anything.
Gently hand wash in an approved wool and silk wash. roll in a towel and gently spin the water out. Carefully press the scarf on the back with a cool iron and hang to finish drying.
